This role sits at the crossroads of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, security, and platform enablement, with a strong emphasis on unifying DevOps practices across teams that have historically operated independently. This role can be in either Tampa, FL or Toledo, OH.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll work hands-on across Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and AWS, supporting cloud-native, containerized, and event-driven systems while enabling development teams to ship securely, reliably, and at scale.
Duties:
- Operate, support, and continuously improve cloud-native platforms across: Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, Firestore); AWS (EC2, ECS, RDS)
- Own Kubernetes (GKE) platform operations, including: Cluster upgrades and version alignment; Node configuration, backup/restore, and resiliency; Environment parity across sandbox, dev, test, stage, and production; Manage and enhance multi-cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
- Design, build, and standardize CI/CD pipelines
- Support deployments for Kotlin/Java (Gradle), Node.js, and Ruby containerized applications
- Maintain and improve pipelines using: Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions; Terraform and CloudFormation; Shared repo and pipeline templates (Node.js, Kotlin, Cloud Functions, Flutter; IaC, batch, workflow); SonarQube for static analysis and quality gates
- Troubleshoot and stabilize build pipelines, including Docker, JDK, Gradle, and dependency issues
- Contribute to enterprise security hardening initiatives, including: Infrastructure and container vulnerability reduction; Secure pipeline design and enforcement; IAM and PAM/TEAM integrations
- Partner with application teams to remediate security findings efficiently and pragmatically
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE
- Required proven experience operating across multiple cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform and AWS)
- Strong hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments
- Demonstrated ownership of CI/CD pipelines (design, maintenance, and improvement-not just usage)
- Solid Infrastructure as Code experience, especially with Terraform
- Experience supporting Java/Kotlin, Node.js, and Ruby workloads in cloud environments
- Excellent troubleshooting skills across pipelines, containers, and cloud infrastructure
- Experience in enterprise environments with security, compliance, and identity integration requirements
- Background unifying or simplifying DevOps practices across multiple teams
- Familiarity with enterprise integration or middleware platforms (e.g., Boomi or similar)
- Advanced troubleshooting of development platform and network-related issues
- Experience with static code analysis tools such as SonarQube
