Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst with strong healthcare industry experience to support security operations, incident response, compliance, and vulnerability management. The ideal candidate will ensure alignment with HIPAA/FISCAM standards, lead security investigations, improve security controls, and support enterprise-wide cybersecurity initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and enhance existing information security practices and controls.
• Monitor networks, detect security issues, and respond to incidents.
• Lead investigations of security breaches and document findings.
• Support development of security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Assess security risks and provide remediation recommendations.
• Evaluate, design, and implement new security solutions.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate penetration testing.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FISCAM, and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams on firewalls, encryption, patching, and system hardening.
• Provide training and awareness to staff on security best practices and phishing prevention.
• Assist with annual security audits and vendor engagements.
  
  

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of HIPAA & FISCAM security guidelines.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, SIEM, antivirus, IDPS, proxies.
• Experience with operating systems, virtualization, and security tools.
• Working knowledge of penetration testing, vulnerability management, patching.
• Understanding of NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills able to explain technical issues to non-technical teams.
• Experience creating training materials and delivering security training.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and support after-hours incident response when needed.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8 years of IT experience.
• 3 years in information security within a healthcare environment.
• Certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.
