We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Senior CNC Programmer to join our dynamic Engineering team. Responsibilities
As a Permanent Senior CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing, testing, and optimizing CNC programs using Siemens software to control a variety of machines including lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Working closely with the manufacturing team to design and produce fixtures or special tools necessary for CNC machines.
- Interpreting complex engineering drawings, 3D models, and blueprints to understand the specifications and tolerances of the components being produced.
- Implementing efficient and effective machining strategies and tool paths to ensure optimal performance of CNC machines.
- Conducting regular inspections of machined parts using precision measuring tools to ensure they meet the required specifications.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues with the CNC programs or machines.
- Providing technical guidance and support to junior CNC programmers and operators.
- Staying updated with the latest advancements in CNC programming technology and implementing improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Programmer in the Engineering industry.
- Proficiency in Siemens or equivalent CNC programming software.
- A strong understanding of engineering drawings, 3D models, and blueprints.
- Extensive knowledge of machining processes, tools, and materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with the manufacturing team and provide guidance to junior staff.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field would be advantageous.
