Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Architect for our client in the IT Staffing and Consulting domain. Duration: 24 Months Contract to Hire

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Salary: $120,000/Annually

Role Description: The Senior AWS Cloud Architect must have 10 years of experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architectural reviews to identify single points of failure and propose multi-region/multi-zone resiliency improvements.
• Partner with SRE and infrastructure teams to assess applications for failover and recovery strategies.
• Develop strategies enabling failover independent of the AWS control plane.
• Provide actionable recommendations and road maps for product teams.
• Collaborate with AWS partners and engage with ADP?s Chaos Engineering program to validate resiliency patterns.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10 years in cloud architecture/infrastructure with a primary focus on AWS.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Route 53, Lambda, IAM, networking, CloudFormation/Terraform).
• Proven experience architecting for resiliency, failover, and disaster recovery in enterprise-scale environments.
• Strong background in distributed systems and multi-region architectures.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills in large, regulated enterprise settings.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in reliability/chaos engineering or disaster recovery planning.
• Familiarity with AWS Well-Architected Framework and resilient design patterns.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect ? Professional (or equivalent expertise).
• Prior consulting/advisory experience across multiple product teams.
