Now Hiring: Senior Architect (Mainframe & API Integration) | Columbus, OH

We’re looking for a Senior Architect with deep expertise in mainframe technologies and modern API integration to join our team in Columbus, OH. If you enjoy bridging legacy systems with modern architectures, this is a great opportunity to make a real impact.

What You’ll Work On:

• Design and implement API solutions connecting mainframe systems to modern applications
• Build and manage provider/requester projects using IBM z/OS Connect tools
• Develop and manage REST APIs aligned with OpenAPI 3.0 standards
• Map complex mainframe data structures to JSON and vice versa
• Collaborate across teams to modernize and optimize enterprise systems
  
  

Key Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with IBM z/OS Connect Designer, API Toolkit, or VS Code tools
• Strong knowledge of z/OS environments (CICS, IMS, Db2, COBOL, PL/I)
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, API lifecycle design, and OpenAPI 3.0
• Experience transforming data using JSON mapping tools (e.g., JSONata)
• Familiarity with mainframe security (authentication, authorization, API controls)
• Working knowledge of JCL, datasets, and batch processing
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Azure API Management
• Exposure to enterprise integration patterns
• Background in hybrid cloud or modernization initiatives
