Responsibilities:
- With minimal supervision, plan, conduct or monitor experiments, record and organize data, analyze results, and generate robust and reliable data
- Maintain continuous cultures of several mammalian tumor cell lines
- Design and execute experiments including high-throughput assays (AlphaLISA, CellTiterGlo) and other standard molecular biology techniques (immunofluorescence, Flow cytometry, Western blot)
- Perform data analysis including keeping a laboratory notebook and preparing presentations of data
- Effectively transfer experimental methods from literature to the lab and make modifications as necessary
- Develop and implement new protocols with moderate review
- Effectively troubleshoot equipment and experimental difficulties
- Contribute to internal/external reports, papers, presentations, and regulatory documents
- Doctorate degree OR Master's degree and 2 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience in Cancer Biology, Genetics, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture
- Proficiency in standard molecular biology techniques (western blotting, molecular cloning, qPCR, flow cytometry, etc)
- Familiarity with data processing/analysis (e.g., Excel, GraphPad Prism)
- Strong data analysis skills and scientific independence
- Demonstrated publication record, preferably including first-author work (must show first-author publication for PhD candidates)
- Research experience in cancer biology, genetics, or related field
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
