About The Job

We're looking for a hands-on, highly skilled Professional Services Resident Engineer to support a global tech refresh and migration initiative. This role is based in Cupertino, CA and will focus on deploying, troubleshooting, and supporting AFF (All Flash FAS) systems across multiple international sites. You'll be part of a dynamic team driving infrastructure modernization and ensuring seamless transitions for mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site installation and configuration of AFF systems.
• Perform diagnostics and basic troubleshooting for AFF hardware and ONTAP software.
• Execute break/fix tasks and escalate complex technical issues as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams-both local and remote-to ensure successful migrations and tech refreshes.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Document procedures, configurations, and lessons learned to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven experience installing and configuring AFF systems.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing and switching (Cisco and/or Arista).
• Hands-on experience with break/fix support and hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including internationally.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ONTAP and AFF migrations.
• Familiarity with automation and scripting tools (Ansible, Python).
• Exposure to virtualization and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
  
  

Additional Information

• This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cupertino, CA.
• The position is a 12-month contract and is not expected to be renewed.
• Travel is a key component of this role, including international assignments.
