Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer with hands-on experience in manufacturing or shop floor environments. This role involves working onsite with a large aerospace tooling client's engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless quality operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with experience in aerospace parts and processes being a significant advantage.

Job Duties:

• Track and monitor purchase orders to provide daily updates on work-in-progress (WIP) milestones.
• Verify the placement and status of raw material orders related to production operations.
• Provide detailed job status updates and identify root causes for any delays or schedule deviations.
• Monitor and document the progression of jobs through outside processing steps to ensure adherence to planned schedules.
• Conduct a one-time physical inventory assessment of furnished materials.
• Act as a liaison between the client and subcontractors, facilitating smooth interactions and resolving any process issues.
• Lead and participate in weekly status meetings to review progress on open line items and ensure alignment between stakeholders.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Experience in supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or materials support
• Strong attention to detail and ability to track multiple open items and milestones
• Clear communication skills for supplier and internal coordination
• Basic proficiency with Excel and ERP / purchasing systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Resident is required due to the nature of this work.
