Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and manufacturing to develop and implement quality assurance plans and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Action) processes to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Monitor and report on quality performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Manage nonconformances by identifying, documenting, and addressing deviations from established standards.
- Lead problem-solving efforts relating to quality issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive effective solutions.
- Ensure that all products are inspected and tested in accordance with quality control standards and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role, ideally within the aerospace or space industry.
- Proficiency with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, and handling nonconformances.
- Proven experience conducting internal and external audits.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to analyze data and report on quality performance metrics.
- Proficiency in using Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- or US Person as defined by ITAR.
