Key Responsibilities:
Quality Engineering & Test Automation:
- Design, build, and maintain robust automated test frameworks using Java, Python, JavaScript, Selenium, Karate, and related tools for UI, API, and integration testing
- Develop automated test coverage for core banking systems, digital channels, payment platforms, and downstream integrations
- Implement API and microservices testing using REST-based frameworks and contract validation techniques
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automated test suites across environments
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (DevOps) to support continuous testing and faster release cycles
- Partner with development and DevOps teams to enforce shift-left testing practices and quality gates
- Support pipeline execution, reporting, and test result analysis to ensure release readiness
- Leverage Service Virtualization and tools such as IGNITE and Hijack to simulate dependent systems and stabilize test execution
- Act as a Test Data SME, designing and managing compliant, reusable, and masked test data sets
- Perform SQL-based data validation to ensure accuracy of transactions, balances, and reporting data
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with Java, Python, and JavaScript for automation development
- Worked on testing mobile applications (both iOS and android) on physical devices or on a cloud platform (Perfecto, Saucelabs etc.); Plus, some automation experience (any mobile automation framework is fine); Hands-on expertise with Selenium for UI automation
- Advanced API testing using tools/frameworks such as Karate
- Experience with CI/CD DevOps pipelines and continuous testing integration
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and backend testing
- Experience with Service Virtualization, including tools such as IGNITE and Hijack
- Knowledge of automation frameworks, test strategy, and test execution management
