We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager (QCM) to join our dynamic team supporting federal construction projects. This is a permanent position offering excellent growth opportunities and the chance to work on meaningful, high-profile USACE (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) projects.

Responsibilities:

Quality Control Program Oversight: Develop, implement, and maintain the project's QC Plan in compliance with USACE standards and contract requirements. Ensure all work conforms to project specifications, drawings, and quality expectations.

Submittal and Documentation Management: Review and manage all project submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and material approvals. Track documentation and maintain accurate records in accordance with USACE RMS or QCS software.

Daily Inspections and Reporting: Conduct and document three-phase quality control inspections (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-up) for all phases of construction. Maintain daily QC logs and deficiency tracking.

Coordination with Stakeholders: Serve as the primary quality liaison with USACE personnel, project managers, subcontractors, and field teams. Address and resolve quality concerns in a proactive and professional manner.

Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all construction activities meet applicable federal, state, and local codes and contract requirements. Verify installation methods, materials, and workmanship align with approved specifications.

Deficiency Prevention and Correction: Identify non-conformance issues, generate deficiency reports, and follow through to resolution. Coordinate corrective actions and re-inspections to ensure full compliance.

Training and Support: Provide quality control training and guidance to field staff and subcontractors. Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the project team.

Qualifications:

Construction Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction quality control, ideally on vertical or civil construction projects for federal clients.

Federal Project Background: Prior experience on USACE projects is highly preferred. Familiarity with USACE EM 385-1-1, RMS/QCS, and three-phase inspection processes is required.

Certifications: Current USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification is required. OSHA 30 is strongly preferred.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, testing procedures, and materials standards.

Detail-Oriented: Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail, especially when documenting inspections, deficiencies, and submittals.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with government representatives, contractors, and internal teams.

Proactive Mindset: Self-starter who anticipates issues and takes corrective action to maintain project quality and schedule adherence.
