Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to support the delivery of high-quality software solutions in a client-server and web-based environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on testing experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within Agile/Scrum teams to ensure application functionality, performance, and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for complex applications
- Perform manual and automated testing for client-server and web-based systems
- Gather and analyze requirements using effective test gathering techniques
- Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA/Zephyr or similar test management tools
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements
- Validate data using RDBMS systems (Oracle or PostgreSQL) by writing and executing SQL queries
- Perform data validation, test data creation, and reconciliation using appropriate tools
- Develop and maintain test metrics, dashboards, and reports to communicate quality status
- Execute automated test scripts using Selenium, SOAP UI, and Cucumber (Ruby)
- Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Ensure adherence to QA best practices, standards, and Agile development processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Innovation, Computer Science, or a related field
- 11 years of hands-on QA testing experience in client-server and/or web-based environments
- Proven experience working on increasingly complex projects
- Strong experience with test strategy and test plan development
- Hands-on experience with test management tools such as JIRA and Zephyr
- Solid RDBMS experience (Oracle or PostgreSQL) with the ability to write complex SQL queries
- Experience creating and analyzing QA metrics and reports
- Proficiency with test automation and validation tools, including Selenium, SOAP UI, and Cucumber (Ruby)
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development frameworks
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams
