Role Overview
The GSW - PSA Engineer Network Transmission will support the design, customization, development, and delivery of Energy Management Systems (EMS) for Electric Power Utilities. This role involves working on real-time or mission-critical systems, requiring strong technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience as a PSA Engineer in Network Transmission environments.
- Hands-on experience developing and delivering Energy Management Systems (EMS) for Electric Power Utilities.
- Proficiency in Electric SCADA, Power DMS, and Transmission EMS implementations.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in development, customization, and delivery of EMS solutions.
- Programming:
- Strong knowledge of C, C , and Java (Full Stack)
- Experience with SQL and Oracle Database
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
- Systems & Tools:
- Operating Systems: LINUX and Windows
- Scripting: Shell scripting and log/debug file interpretation
- Configuration Management: GitHub and ClearCase
- Software Installation: OS patches, Oracle, NetApp, and other 3rd-party software
- Specialized Experience:
- 5 years with AEMS product (design and development)
- Experience in real-time or mission-critical systems
- Skilled in applying system fixes on live customer systems
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities
- Deep understanding of industry practices in EMS implementation for Electric Power Utilities.
- Proven track record of problem analysis, identification, and resolution.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
