Position Responsibilities:
- Perform basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance
- Support test execution and analyses/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
- Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied
- Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements
- Work under general supervision
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- Level 2: 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- Level 2: Understanding of airplane structure/systems, loading and environment, certification, design and manufacturing requirements, stress analysis processes, material strengths and properties and proficiency with stress analysis tools.
- Level 3: Well versed in loads development, material strengths and properties, design and manufacturing requirements, sizing and analysis processes and a mastery of stress analysis tools. Required to develop conclusions and provide recommendations that drive solutions. Level 3 engineers should be capable of lead engineering roles.
