This role is 20 hours week with max of 640 hrs and will remain a part-time engagement until completed. No changes to this arrangement are planned. Pls make sure your candidate is aware and agrees to this arrangement before submitting.

Job Descriptiion:

About The Role

Project Manager will provide project management oversight for the design, configuration, staff training and implementation of client''s replacement licensing and management system and to provide internal support for the steps required by the client.

Project management activities include but are not limited to:

• Leading team members through process mapping and requirements gathering
• Serving as the day-to-day point of contact for the project
• Overseeing the various system implementation phases and processes
• Overseeing acceptable user acceptance testing
• Certifying that the solution is ready for deployment and is fully implemented as planned
  
  

The Project Manager will also be responsible for change management, overall vendor management and project closeout.

Requirements

Core Competencies and Skills:

• Strong management and leadership skills
• Ability to set and maintain adherence to project goals with internal team and IT vendor
• Maintain project timeframes, budgeting estimates and status reports for executive management and the board
• Coordinating project team members and developing and tracking schedules and individual responsibilities
• Implementing IT strategies that deliver projects on schedule and within budget
  
  

Required Certifications and Experience:

• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through the Project Management Institute (PMI) required
• Demonstrated experience in effective team building and communication skills
• Knowledge and experience in successfully executing Software as a Service (SaaS) or Platform as a Service (PaaS) implementation with strong vendor management skills
• Experience assisting Commonwealth of Virginia agencies in planning, developing, and validating functional and technical requirements to support the implementation of IT solutions
• Knowledge of current Commonwealth of Virginia policies, standards, procedures, and practices, particularly those related to VITA0

• Cloud & SaaS Expertise: Strong background in planning, executing, and managing cloud-hosted SaaS implementation projects. Required 10 Years
• Analytical & Organizational Expertise: Strong ability to analyze complex problems, organize priorities, and make sound decisions under pressure. Required 10 Years
• Leadership & Change Management: Proven capability to lead cross-functional teams and drive adoption of new approaches, systems, and methodologies. Required 10 Years
