Summary:
The Temporary Project Engineer will support the execution of capital projects at the Horseheads plant. This role will work closely with plant leadership and engineering teams to assist with planning, coordination, and implementation of infrastructure-related projects. The position is intended to provide additional engineering support during a defined period of increased project activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of capital projects, including scope development, layout reviews, and implementation activities.
- Develop, review, and update drawings using AutoCAD to support project planning and execution.
- Assist with coordination across disciplines related to plant infrastructure systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP).
- Participate in site walks, equipment layouts, and installation planning.
- Support documentation, tracking, and reporting of capital project progress.
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, contractors, and engineering resources to ensure projects are executed safely and efficiently.
- Bachelor"s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of plant infrastructure systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Previous experience supporting capital projects in a manufacturing or plant environment.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and project execution practices.
- This is a temporary position expected to last approximately eight months.
- The role is full time during the assignment period and reports directly to the site engineering leadership.
