Job Details

We are seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer to support and elevate our expanding San Antonio market. This role manages moderate to highly complex geotechnical projects and provides deep technical expertise to clients across education, municipal, transportation-adjacent, and commercial sectors. This is a high-visibility role with meaningful influence on strategy, execution, and long-term market growth.

What You'll Do

• Perform geotechnical site investigations, site characterizations, and assign laboratory testing
• Prepare full engineering reports with practical, actionable recommendations
• Scope and develop proposals for moderate to complex projects
• Manage all aspects of assigned projects, including scope, schedule, and budget
• Lead and mentor junior engineering staff
• Build and maintain internal and external client relationships, including face-to-face interactions
• Conduct engineering analysis using industry methodologies and standards
• Engage in community involvement to strengthen regional presence
• Work in compliance with corporate health and safety policies
• Collaborate closely with the Austin team to align technical quality and client service
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering (Master's preferred)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Five or more years of geotechnical engineering and CMT-related project management experience
• Experience with Texas PK-12, municipal, or commercial development
• Strong ability to work independently and operate as a self-starter
• Proven experience preparing proposals, scopes, and technical reports
• Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and client-facing skills
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds periodically and travel up to 25%
• Willingness to relocate to San Antonio (relocation support available)
