- Implementing production schedules and meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
- Leading process improvement initiatives to optimize production and reduce waste, utilizing lean manufacturing principles.
- Conducting regular quality control checks and addressing any issues promptly.
- Managing and leading a team of production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
- Providing performance management, including setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and implementing training and development programs.
- Collaborating with other departments, such as design and sales, to ensure alignment and smooth workflow.
- Reporting on production metrics, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement.
- Staying updated on the latest engineering and manufacturing technologies and trends, especially in the aerospace sector.
To be considered for the Production Supervisor role, you should have the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the manufacturing / engineering industry, preferably in aerospace.
- Proven experience with production scheduling, quality control, compliance, process improvement, lean manufacturing, team leadership, and performance management.
- Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes, technologies, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions quickly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information.
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate issues and implement solutions.
