Key Responsibilities
Product & Process Support
Ensure product designs align with engineering best practices, internal standards, and customer requirements.
Collaborate with Procurement and Quality teams to maintain safety, compliance, and product quality.
Support the release of new drawings, specification updates, and process changes by working with internal and customer technical teams.
Assist with Corrective Action Reports (CARs), including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions or rework.
Partner with Engineering, Production Supervisors, and Suppliers to identify and implement product and process improvements.
Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement
Champion Lean manufacturing principles across the organization.
Help design and improve workflows that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain high quality.
Support the layout, design, and optimization of manufacturing cells.
Participate in Kaizen events, process mapping, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and maintain standard work instructions, visual aids, and process documentation.
Track, analyze, and report results from Lean initiatives, including productivity gains and cost savings.
Operational Support
Provide day-to-day engineering support to help meet production schedules and output goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
Identify production challenges and support efforts to eliminate bottlenecks and process constraints.
Assist with tracking and analyzing key performance indicators such as inventory levels, lead times, and delivery performance.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment (internships and co-ops count).
Experience with sewing or textile-based manufacturing is a plus.
Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SYSPRO) preferred.
Qualifications & Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD; able to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Working knowledge of Lean tools such as 5S, value stream mapping, and standard work.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
Comfortable working with technical data and applying mathematical concepts.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project) and exposure to solid modeling tools.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Clear and effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills; comfortable working across departments.
Self-motivated, curious, and driven by a continuous improvement mindset.
