Required Technical & Professional Skills
- 3 years in a financial or business systems analysis role, or as a Product Owner in a business-focused environment
- Background should be primarily business (> 50%), with ability to translate business requirements into technical terms ( )
- Experience with business intelligence tools:
- Power BI
- Tableau
- Experience writing requirements and using requirement management tools:
- DOORS
- Polarion (Polarian)
- Strong ability to solve complex problems and convert them into structured, actionable solutions
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to influence without authority and work cross-functionally with teams that do not report directly to this role
- Strong project management and organizational skills; able to prioritize multiple competing initiatives with aggressive, multi-project schedules
- Ability to travel internationally up to 15%
- Comfortable working across multiple international time zones
- A strong plus: Understanding of transaction-processing products such as:
- Lottery transaction engines
- Core banking systems
- Fintech systems
High-Level Responsibilities / Task Summary
Product & Requirements Management
- Support migration efforts as Brightstar transitions sites to cloud-based environments
- Document requirements from initial drafting to user review, including:
- Change request cycles
- Final deliverables
- Contribute to the Product Manager's vision for Brightstar's Data and Insight products
- Own the Data & Insight products, including:
- Defining features
- Translating features into technical requirements with Product Engineering
- Managing and prioritizing the team backlog
- Overseeing delivery
- Conducting acceptance testing
- Lead customer engagements to:
- Understand and anticipate business needs
- Drive revenue-related product decisions
- Conduct product demonstrations and workshops
- Provide guidance and ongoing support to drive product usage
- Support pre-sales efforts and represent Data & Insight products in customer presentations
- Liaise closely with Product Engineering throughout design and development (engineering leaders manage day-to-day work)
- Collaborate with Marketing, Legal, Security, and other stakeholders
- Create customer-facing artifacts, including:
- Business process flows
- Functional specifications
- Use cases
- Customer requirements documents
- Configuration questionnaires
- While an hourly range is posted for this position, an eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills and qualifications, education and experience as compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work, if applicable, and market and business considerations.
