Responsibilities:
- Planning and organizing work efforts, working closely with technology team members and with business owners and leaders
- Gathering, elaborating upon, and prioritizing functional and non-functional requirements
- Understanding the business needs and use cases for data
- Organizing project activities around user stories
- Refining user stories with the team to develop a consistent velocity
- 5 years of experience as a Product Owner/Business Analyst in a data centric environment.
- Must be very comfortable with agile processes and methods
- Solid understanding of agile story estimation using points
- Solid understanding of data engineering methods and techniques
- Able to write SQL queries to assess data relationships and data quality issues
- Professional experience writing user stories for data solutions
- Working familiarity with cloud ecosystems, AWS preferred
- Able to build and refine user stories aligned to driving a business outcome
- Strong business acumen to ask the right questions and document requirements of business stakeholders
- Able to break down complex problems and analyze data
- Understanding of database concepts
- Able to read a relational database model
- Understanding of APIs and streaming
- Proficient in data governance tools and software
