Job Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and maintain a clear product vision and strategy for data analytics products, aligning with the overall business goals and objectives.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain a product backlog that reflects the needs of stakeholders and the strategic direction of the product.
- Sprint Planning: Lead sprint planning meetings, ensuring that the development team has a clear understanding of the sprint goals and backlog items.
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate product priorities, progress, and potential roadblocks to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Product Development: Work closely with the development team throughout the product development lifecycle, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Data Analysis and Insights: Leverage data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform product decisions and improve product performance.
- Performance Monitoring: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of data analytics products and identify areas for improvement.
- Market Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and stay abreast of industry trends.
- Product Evangelism: Serve as a product evangelist, promoting the value and benefits of data analytics products to internal and external audiences.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in a data analytics environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of data analytics concepts, methodologies, and tools. Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data visualization techniques. Experience with SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools is highly desirable.
- Agile Methodologies: Deep understanding of Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage stakeholders, build relationships, and influence decision-making.
- Product Management Tools: Familiarity with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Aha!
- Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and understanding of how data analytics can drive business value.
