Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
Own the product vision, strategy, and multi‑year roadmap for promotions management platforms across digital and store channels.
Define how promotions capabilities enable business goals such as sales lift, margin optimization, inventory productivity, and customer loyalty.
Balance short-term execution needs with long-term platform modernization and technical debt reduction.
Business & Stakeholder Leadership
Partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Pricing, Finance, and Store Ops to understand promotional needs and translate them into product outcomes.
Act as the single point of accountability for promotions capabilities across the value chain.
Lead executive-level conversations on tradeoffs, prioritization, and ROI of promotions initiatives.
Product Delivery & Execution
Own the end-to-end product lifecycle: discovery, requirements, delivery, launch, and value realization.
Translate business requirements into well-defined epics, features, and acceptance criteria.
Drive outcomes through Agile delivery teams, ensuring predictable and high-quality releases.
Ensure promotions capabilities scale across in-store, ecommerce, BOPIS, ship-from-store, and marketplace channels.
Platform & Capability Ownership
Own core promotions capabilities including:
Offer and deal management (BOGO, % off, $ off, threshold offers)
Vendor-funded promotions
Campaign and event-based promotions
Stickability, eligibility, and prioritization rules
Couponing, loyalty, and personalized offers
Compliance, auditability, and financial accuracy
Partner with engineering and architecture teams to ensure performance, resilience, and extensibility.
Data, Metrics & Value Realization
Define and track clear KPIs such as promotional lift, margin impact, adoption, execution accuracy, and time-to-market.
Use analytics and experimentation to continuously optimize promotions effectiveness.
Ensure promotions programs are measurable, auditable, and financially sound.
Governance & Risk Management
Establish clear process, policy, and governance for promotions setup, testing, launch, and rollback.
Ensure alignment with financial controls, legal/compliance, and audit requirements.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to execution errors, system limits, or customer impact.
Experience
Required Qualifications
8-10 years of product management experience, with 5 years owning enterprise retail or commerce platforms.
Proven experience delivering pricing, promotions, merchandising, solutions at scale.
Deep understanding of omnichannel retail operations and promotional execution complexity.
Skills & Competencies
Strong product sense with the ability to translate strategy into executable roadmaps.
Executive-level communication and influence across business and technology leaders.
Data-driven mindset with strong understanding of KPIs, experimentation, and value tracking.
Experience working in Agile / Product Operating Models.
Comfortable managing tradeoffs across scope, timeline, tech constraints, and business value.
