What You'll Do
- Design mechanical equipment and positioning systems used in multi axis and robotic applications
- Build detailed SolidWorks models, perform analysis, and produce complete engineering drawings
- Apply practical knowledge of steel structures, welding, machining, and assembly processes
- Lead projects independently, including installation oversight and customer interaction
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution from design to delivery
- Support field activities with light travel (3-4 trips per year, typically short duration)
- 5-7 years of mechanical design engineering experience
- Expert level SolidWorks skills (non negotiable)
- Strong background in steel structures, mechanical equipment, and practical manufacturing processes
- Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
- Engineering degree preferred but not required with strong experience
- Comfortable with occasional short notice travel (approx. 10% or less)
- Experience with robotic cell design or integration
- PLC or electrical design exposure
- Windows programming experience
