Procurement Category Specialist

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Procurement Category Specialist for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Utility Services clients in Tampa, FL.

Responsibilities:

Provide analytical and administrative support for category management and sourcing activities. Assist in preparing sourcing events, analyzing supplier proposals, and maintaining accurate procurement data.

• Collect and analyze spend data, supplier metrics, market trends
• Prepare reports and dashboards
• Assist in drafting RFQs/RFPs and bid packages
• Maintain contract records and process amendments
• Support day-to-day supplier communication
• Verify supplier compliance and maintain audit-ready documentation
• Identify opportunities to streamline data management and reporting
• Escalate complex problems to Category Specialist or Manager
• Office environment; meetings in various locations; occasional overtime/weekend/on-call support
  
  

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field
• 3 years of procurement or supply chain experience
• Analytical and Excel skills, familiarity with ERP systems, detail-oriented, organizational and communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• CPSM, CIPS, or working toward certification
• Experience with eSourcing tools
• Basic understanding of procurement regulations and contract terms
