Kforce has a client in Redmond, WA that is seeking a Procurement Category Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Review and potentially optimize suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability and other relevant factors
- Submit purchases orders accurately
- Review & approve purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services
- Instruct staff on how to resolve problems related to undelivered goods
- Instruct staff on methods of negotiation, renegotiation and administration of contracts with suppliers, vendors and other representatives
- Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action
- Evaluate and monitor contract performance SLAs to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes
- Send communications to stakeholders as needed
- Planning activities for end of the year activities in Hardware and/or services as needed
- Work with Stakeholders ensuring all information is complete and ready for PO submissions
- Review SOWs, submit, review or provide feedback on POs for hardware, software and lab hardware
- PO Execution unblocking support for all W D POs across 10 countries expected during FY26. Includes escalations/issue resolution
- PCRI escalations & EOY analysis and partner budget securance
- Engineering team support
- Guide & ensure discount negotiation
- LT communications for lab HW & VM Surface POs/SOWs
- Establish new process for business continuity (example: service tree extensions for software maintenance)
- End of the year planning and communications
- White Glove support
- Vendor support: SFI requirements (ex: virtual desktop); Minimize Impact of new corp tools; SLA review
- Communicate Vendor team execution guidance changes, including: Internal AI assistant updates
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related business field required
- 8-10 years of finance-related experience required
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create and analyze financial and procurement reports, price proposals and other technical data
- Experience reviewing statement of work and other contracts
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to purchasing
- Knowledge and previous experience of Microsoft procurement policies and tools like Procurweb and/or MSapprovals
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Power BI and Excel
- Flexibility to come onsite for training & meetings as needed
