We are seeking a skilled PSA Engineer to perform complex probabilistic safety and risk assessments supporting nuclear facility design, operations, and regulatory activities. This role involves applying PRA methodologies, supporting advanced reactor projects, and collaborating with engineering and regulatory teams.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform probabilistic safety analysis (PSA) and probabilistic risk assessment (PRA) activities
- Conduct engineering analyses supporting design, operations, and safety programs
- Support licensing activities, construction permits, and regulatory compliance
- Participate in design reviews for advanced reactor technologies
- Interpret and apply regulatory guidance from NRC, NEI, and EPRI
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and problem-solving support
- Develop and improve engineering processes, policies, and procedures
- Identify and resolve design, quality, or operational issues
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 3 years of engineering experience (or 5 years with PE license)
- Strong knowledge of PRA/PSA methodologies and engineering principles
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Experience with advanced reactor or nuclear plant design
- Knowledge of PRA standards (ASME/ANS) and risk modeling techniques
- Experience with:
- Event tree / fault tree analysis
- Seismic and Fire PRA
- Transient and accident analysis
- Familiarity with NEI guidance (e.g., NEI 18-04)
- Experience in construction or large capital projects
