Kforce has a client in Corvallis, OR that is seeking a Print Press Technician.
Responsibilities:
- Partner directly with R&D customers to support product development activities for PWP Digital Web Presses
- Operate, maintain, and support multiple PWP Web Press systems, which are large, complex industrial printing platforms requiring hands-on electrical and mechanical expertise
- Work closely with R&D Engineers to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve press and test tooling issues, providing timely repairs and technical solutions
- Install and support required hardware and software upgrades to meet ongoing R&D and business needs
- Proactively identify, escalate, and communicate critical issues on behalf of R&D customers to ensure development timelines and system performance are maintained
- Perform repair and maintenance activities supporting manufacturing and assembly operations
- Support and manage firmware qualification, revisions, and upgrades
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues on non-functioning equipment
- Disassemble, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment using blueprints, schematics, manuals, and drawings
- Perform equipment modifications as directed by test or manufacturing engineers
- Contribute as a skilled specialist to the development of new concepts, techniques, and process improvements
- Execute highly complex assignments requiring independent judgment, initiative, and strong technical expertise
- Associate degree (AA/AS) in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Ability to apply analytical and mathematical skills with a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals
- Electrical and mechanical hands-on experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug both software- and mechanical-related issues on test tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including 1:1 and group interactions
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced R&D environment with frequent change
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) experience
