Principal Python Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Utah County, UT that is looking for a Principal Python Developer.

Core Responsibilities:

• Set technical vision and strategy for AI-driven features and Python-based services across the organization
• Architect large-scale systems integrating AI models, ensuring security, compliance, and enterprise-grade reliability
• Lead design reviews and establish coding standards, fostering a culture of engineering excellence
• Drive advanced testing frameworks for AI workflows, including automated validation pipelines and continuous integration
• Champion AI safety and ethical considerations, embedding these principles into development processes
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align technical initiatives with business objectives
• Mentor senior engineers and influence cross-functional teams, enabling innovation and technical growth
• Evaluate emerging technologies and guide adoption for long-term scalability and competitive advantage
  
  

REQUIREMENTS:

Technical Requirements:

• Expert-level Python proficiency, with mastery in building scalable, maintainable systems
• Deep experience with unit and integration testing frameworks, including PyTest and gRPC-based service testing
• Advanced knowledge of cloud architecture, preferably Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), including networking, security, and cost optimization
• Strong expertise in data and AI ecosystems, including Pandas, PySpark for large-scale data processing; PyTorch for deep learning (required)
• Familiarity with distributed systems, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
  
  

Preferred Experience:

• Proven leadership in Computer Vision, AI, or Large Language Models (LLMs) at scale
• Experience with model governance, synthetic data generation, and AI safety frameworks
• Background in enterprise-grade architecture and performance optimization for AI workloads
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
