## About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to join our growing Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards, reports, and data models that drive business decisions across the organization. You will work closely with stakeholders from multiple departments, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.

## Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations that meet business requirements.
• Build and optimize data models using DAX, Power Query (M language), and best practices in dimensional modeling.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and leadership to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective visual solutions.
• Implement row-level security, data governance policies, and access controls within the Power BI environment.
• Write and maintain PostgreSQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data from relational databases as needed.
• Monitor and troubleshoot report performance, optimizing data refresh schedules and query efficiency.
• Manage and administer Power BI workspaces, datasets, and the Power BI Service/Gateway.
• Create and maintain documentation for data models, reports, and ETL processes.
• Provide training and support to end users on report usage and self-service BI capabilities.
• Stay current with Power BI updates, new features, and industry best practices to continuously improve the reporting ecosystem.
  
  

## Required Qualifications

• *5 years of hands-on experience* developing reports, dashboards, and data models in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Strong proficiency in *DAX* (Data Analysis Expressions) and *Power Query / M language*.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schema design, and dimensional modeling.
• Working knowledge of *PostgreSQL*, including writing queries for data extraction, joins, aggregations, and basic database navigation.
• *Excellent communication skills* - ability to present complex data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences clearly and confidently.
• Experience with Power BI Gateway, scheduled refresh, incremental refresh, and workspace administration.
• Familiarity with data integration tools and ETL/ELT processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  
  

## Nice to Have

• Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or SSRS.
• Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis and transformation.
• Exposure to Azure services (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) for report and dataset management.
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or equivalent certification.
• Knowledge of additional database platforms (SQL Server, MySQL, or cloud-based data warehouses).
