Job Title: Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Engineer to support electrical systems within a manufacturing environment. This role is part of the Product Development Team and works closely with plant operations as the first line of defense for vehicle quality. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in electrical systems, root cause analysis, and systems engineering, with a focus on resolving design and quality issues in production.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the first line of defense for quality issues on vehicle production lines
Support the complete vehicle electrical system, including module software and electrical distribution systems
Lead root cause analysis and resolution of design and quality concerns
Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to implement containment and corrective actions
Perform triage and analysis of warranty claims, prioritizing actions based on severity and volume
Manage engineering change processes, including plant trials, validation, and production readiness
Support development of error-proofing solutions for internal and external quality issues
Participate in subsystem meetings and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues
Analyze end-of-line electrical failures and DTCs, and create action plans for resolution
Utilize tools such as JIRA/AIMS for issue tracking and resolution
Identify recurring issues and develop strategies to eliminate high-impact problems
Review pre-production vehicles and assess potential warranty risks
Support vehicle builds and ensure timely issue resolution during production
Develop data-driven business cases for engineering improvements
Lead engineering changes from concept through production implementation
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
Experience in Systems Engineering and Electrical Systems
Strong background in Root Cause Analysis and quality improvement processes
Experience working with low voltage wiring / electrical distribution systems
Familiarity with DTC analysis, JIRA, and issue tracking tools
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing / production environment
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
Preferred Qualifications (Nice To Have)
Experience in automotive manufacturing or assembly plant environment
Knowledge of vehicle electrical architecture and modules
Exposure to pre-production and production support activities
Experience with quality control or plant engineering roles
