Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from pharmacy and healthcare stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, workflows, and process documentation.
- Collaborate with product, development, and QA teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Analyze current pharmacy workflows and recommend process improvements.
- Participate in requirements workshops, stakeholder discussions, and solution reviews.
- Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, use cases, process maps, and functional documentation.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and production validation activities.
- Work closely with pharmacy operations teams to understand regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Facilitate communication between business users and technical teams.
- Assist with implementation, training, and post-deployment support activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
- Prior experience working as a Pharmacist in a retail, hospital, specialty, or clinical pharmacy setting.
- 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting healthcare, pharmaceutical, or pharmacy-related applications.
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, medication workflows, and pharmaceutical terminology.
- Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Pharmacy Management Systems, EHR/EMR platforms, or healthcare applications.
- Exposure to specialty pharmacy, mail-order pharmacy, or pharmacy benefit management (PBM) environments.
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards and pharmacy data workflows.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools.
- Agile, Scrum, or Business Analysis certifications are a plus.
