PeopleSoft HCM Functional
12 Months
Location: Bay Area, CA (Onsite 5 days/week required)
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day production support for PeopleSoft HCM and Payroll systems
Perform hands-on functional configuration across HCM modules
Ensure payroll continuity, including support for payroll processing and year-end activities
Support and validate Commitment Accounting processes and data accuracy
Lead and support PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) upgrades, including impact analysis and testing
Translate business requirements into functional designs, specifications, and solutions
Conduct and coordinate functional testing (SIT/UAT) for enhancements and upgrades
Maintain and update functional documentation and process flows
Support integration points between HCM and Finance systems
Partner closely with HR, Payroll, and leadership teams to ensure operational stability
Assist with audits, compliance activities, and issue resolution

Required Qualifications
7 years of PeopleSoft HCM functional experience (12 years preferred for senior candidates)
Strong expertise in HCM functional consulting, configuration, and production support
Hands-on experience with Payroll processing and support
Proven experience supporting PUM upgrades
Ability to work onsite in Oakland, CA (5 days/week)
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both functional users and executive stakeholders
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Experience translating business requirements into functional solutions
Experience in Higher Education, preferably California Community Colleges
Exposure to leadership-level interactions (e.g., working with Deputy COO/Chancellor office)
Experience with HCM Finance integrations
Background in audit support and compliance processes
