Job Title: Payments Business Analyst (SWIFT / Fedwire / ISO 20022)

Location: Remote / Atlanta, GA (Preferred)

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking a Payments Business Analyst / SME with deep expertise in SWIFT, Fedwire, and ISO 20022 to support critical payment transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong functional and technical experience in wire payments, message formats, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a Payments Subject Matter Expert (SME) with hands-on experience in SWIFT, Fedwire Funds Service, and ISO 20022 processing
• Analyze and map SWIFT MT to ISO 20022 MX messages for Fedwire and cross-border payments
• Develop use cases, BRDs/FRDs, functional specifications, and user stories
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, QA, and Operations teams for successful delivery
• Ensure compliance with Fedwire guidelines, FinCEN Travel Rule, and regulatory standards
• Support fraud prevention, AML, and risk management initiatives
• Identify and implement automation and process improvements in wire payment workflows
• Work on payment system integrations, APIs, and core banking platforms
  
  

Required Skills:

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst in Payments Transformation programs
• Expertise in SWIFT MT & ISO 20022 MX message formats
• Hands-on experience with:
• pacs.008
• pacs.004
• camt messages
• Experience with Fedwire Funds Service and enterprise payment systems
• Strong understanding of payment regulations and compliance frameworks
• Experience working in Agile / SDLC environments
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of ACH (NACHA rules)
• Experience with FedNow / RTP (Real-Time Payments)
• Exposure to GenAI tools for productivity enhancement
