This role involves analyzing, documenting, refactoring, and migrating legacy application logic into a modernized environment while ensuring accuracy of critical business functions.
Position Summary
The ideal candidate will review, refactor, and migrate legacy application logic including PL/SQL code, stored procedures, and Crystal Reports into a modern AWS-based architecture.
This role requires a strong understanding of business logic, workflow documentation, and collaboration with internal teams and third-party vendors. You will support the redesign of core application modules such as records, classification, and sentence computation.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and document application architecture, workflows, and data models
- Rewrite and optimize Oracle PL/SQL (procedures, functions, triggers, packages, views)
- Migrate Crystal Reports to modern AWS-compatible reporting platforms
- Perform data extraction, mapping, validation, and transformation (ETL)
- Analyze and refactor core business logic modules
- Convert legacy DHTML-based UI forms to modern formats
- Document and manage scheduled jobs and backend processes
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal teams
- Expert-level experience in Oracle PL/SQL
- Strong SQL skills (optimization & performance tuning)
- Experience in data migration, ETL, and schema transformation
- Ability to work with legacy and undocumented systems
- Familiarity with DHTML, HTML, JavaScript-based applications
- Experience with task schedulers / automation tools
- Experience with AWS (database & reporting services)
- Knowledge of Power BI or AWS QuickSight
- Scripting skills in Python or PowerShell
- Experience in Offender Management / Justice Systems
- Experience working with external vendors on modernization projects
