Job Description / Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end architectural design, development, and deployment of Oracle EPM Planning Cloud solutions, with a specialization in the Essbase FreeForm application type for complex and large-scale financial models.
Serve as the lead technical architect for the migration of legacy Hyperion on-premises Essbase applications (ASO and/or BSO) into the Oracle EPM Planning Cloud, leveraging the Essbase FreeForm framework. Responsibilities include data, metadata, business rules, calculations, and reporting artifact migration.
Design and optimize complex Essbase components outlines, calculation scripts, MaxL scripts, data loading processes, and business rules ensuring high performance and scalability within the cloud environment.
Configure and manage various components of Oracle PBCS/EPBCS, including:
Security and access control
Business processes and workflows
Forms, dashboards, and reports
Integrations using Data Management / Data Integration tools
Proactively monitor, diagnose, and resolve performance issues related to Essbase cubes, calculations, and data loads in both FreeForm and Planning application environments.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to development teams and stakeholders, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles.
Collaborate with finance, IT, and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and efficient EPM Cloud solutions.
Preferred Technical Expertise
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle EPM Planning Cloud (EPBCS/PBCS) and FreeForm applications.
Proven experience migrating Hyperion Essbase (on-prem) to EPM Cloud FreeForm environments.
Expert-level knowledge of Essbase ASO/BSO, including cube design, performance tuning, and scripting.
Proficiency in MaxL scripting, data loading, business rules, and metadata management.
Deep understanding of data integration, automation, and EPM performance diagnostics.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
