The Role:

Title: Oracle Development Engineer

Location: Raleigh, NC

Type: Permanent

What You ll Do:

Our client is looking for an experienced Oracle Development Engineer. This position will play a key role in the development team that supports and enhances enterprise applications.

Primary responsibilities include:??

• Demonstrated expertise in Oracle development, including advanced PL/SQL programming, procedure design, and complex debugging across enterprise-scale database environments.
• Proven ability to manage and monitor batch job workflows that execute SQL processes, ensuring timely completion, error handling, and performance optimization across complex data environments.
• Serve as a data?domain expert?for an existing enterprise application
• Foster strong, professional relationships with customers and collaborate to deliver high-quality, tailored services that consistently exceed expectations.?
• Provide technical leadership and end-to-end ownership of products, guiding key initiatives from design through delivery as needed.
  
  

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with a strong track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale Oracle databases. This role will demonstrate clear and effective communication skills both verbal and written. Candidate s that have experience developing, enhancing, and debugging SAS scripts / jobs is strongly preferred.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Oracle database development
• Proven expertise in writing, testing, and optimizing Oracle scripts, stored procedures, and PL/SQL code
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines through effective task planning and execution
• Collaborative team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Genuine passion for working with databases, backend processes, and data-driven solutions
• Demonstrated ownership and accountability, consistently going beyond expectations to deliver high-quality results
• Experience using SAS as an ETL tool and developing SAS jobs is preferred
