Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain emerging database products on the Linux operating system
- Create and implement fully functional database clusters
- Maintain multiple development, performance, and production environments with a strong focus on operations and support
- Manage cluster areas, such as adding/removing nodes, consistency tuning, replication, and multi-DC configuration
- 5 years of UNIX/Linux experience with advanced knowledge of Shell scripting and/or Python scripting
- 3 years of experience in NoSQL or any Distributed Database Technologies
- Experience with DevOps tools like BladeLogic or Ansible
- Must be versatile, flexible, and proactive when resolving technical issues
- Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Experience and knowledge of distributed databases such as Cassandra, Singlestore, CockroachDB, or Redis
- Previous experience in high-volume environments
