Job Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee Network Services operations across WAN, LAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and network security platforms
- Manage daily operations including incident response, problem resolution, and service availability
- Act as the escalation point for high-priority network and infrastructure issues
- Coordinate and prioritize work across network, infrastructure, and security teams
- Drive and support initiatives such as:
- SD-WAN implementation and optimization
- Network monitoring and observability improvements
- Security integrations (NGFW, identity services, segmentation)
- Oversee vendor relationships and service delivery for network-related services
- Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in change management processes, ensuring proper documentation and approvals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Infrastructure, Data Center, Telecom, Security)
- Provide status reporting, risk identification, and mitigation planning to leadership
- Maintain network architecture documentation and operational procedures
- Support knowledge transfer and continuity planning for ongoing operations
Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in networking / telecommunications environments
- 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role
- Strong experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure (WAN, LAN, wireless)
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies (implementation or support)
- Background in 24x7 network operations, including incident management and escalations
- Experience with Cisco VoIP solutions (administration, support, or design)
- Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize work, and drive operational performance
- Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with network monitoring / observability tools
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment (Austin, TX)
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check
- Experience in public sector or government environments
- Hands-on experience with SD-WAN implementations
- Experience with tools such as ThousandEyes or AppDynamics
- Exposure to network security technologies (NGFW, identity services, segmentation)
- Experience managing vendors and third-party providers
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, Security )
