Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Level 3 escalation engineer for enterprise network infrastructure
- Design, implement, and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 network solutions in large-scale enterprise environments
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco (IOS/NX-OS) and Arista (EOS) routing and switching platforms, including:
- BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN
- Spanning Tree, MLAG, port-channeling
- QoS, ACLs
- Own and support the F5 BIG-IP environment, including:
- LTM (Local Traffic Manager)
- GTM/DNS (preferred)
- ASM (preferred)
- Virtual servers, pools, iRules, SSL offload, and traffic management
- Support and troubleshoot MPLS, WAN, LAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi environments
- Monitor network performance and availability; perform root-cause analysis for incidents and outages
- Implement and maintain network security best practices, including segmentation, firewall policies, and access control
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support for critical incidents
- Collaborate with security, systems, cloud, and application teams to support ongoing business needs
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and configuration standards
- Contribute to automation and scripting initiatives (Python, Ansible, or similar) to improve operational efficiency
- 7 years of experience building and supporting enterprise-scale network environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco and Arista routing and switching platforms
- Proven experience with BGP, OSPF, and large L2/L3 switching environments
- Extensive hands-on experience supporting F5 BIG-IP in production enterprise environments
- Demonstrated troubleshooting experience across MPLS, WAN, LAN, and wireless networks
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network security fundamentals
- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, Splunk, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced, enterprise environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders
- Experience with QoS, VPN, GRE, IPsec
- Exposure to Juniper networking platforms
- Experience with SAN/NAS storage environments
- Familiarity with VMware and Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange)
- Experience with network automation or infrastructure-as-code
