Responsibilities:
- Deploy and operate front-end, backend, and management networks in on-prem data centers
- Oversee network buildouts and perform site visits
- Architect networks to reduce latency, packet loss, and jitter while improving scalability
- Deploy and support software releases, upgrades, and patches
- Troubleshoot complex network issues with vendors and support teams
- Ensure high availability and performance of mission-critical systems
- Maintain network documentation (diagrams, cabling, DCIM)
- Monitor global network health and support L1 teams
- Participate in on-call incident response
- 6 years of experience with enterprise/cloud networking (routers, switches, NICs)
- Experience with HCI, converged infrastructure, and Xen virtualization
- Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, PXE, TFTP, NTP, PAM
- Automation experience using Python/Ansible
- Intermediate Linux skills
- Experience with MAAS or Infoblox
- Hands-on experience with Cisco & Arista (Arista ACE L3 required, CCNP preferred)
- Experience with Cisco Nexus & Nexus Manager
- Strong knowledge of VXLAN/EVPN, BGP, leaf-spine, and DC architectures
- Experience with RDMA tuning; InfiniBand is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and network design skills
