Role: Multimedia Designer

Location: Jackson, MI (Onsite)

Job Description:

The Multimedia Designer will support the External Communications team by performing the following duties:

• Create brand-aligned graphics and visual assets for social media and digital platforms using Adobe Creative Suite
• Develop and manage a proactive social media content calendar and assist in digital communications
• Perform website updates and content entry via CMS tools such as Drupal, ensuring accessibility and accuracy
• Provide on-site photography and videography for events, including basic editing and optimization
• Apply design principles (typography, layout, color theory) to maintain consistent branding across platforms
  
  

Required Skills/Experience:

• 1 3 years of experience in graphic design, digital media, or related field
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Experience in photography and videography with basic editing skills
• Experience working with CMS platforms for website updates
• Experience managing social media content calendars
• Strong understanding of design fundamentals (typography, layout, color theory)
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards
• Hands-on experience with Drupal CMS
• Familiarity with motion graphics tools like After Effects or Premiere Pro
• Experience in public sector or non-profit communications
• Experience with tools like Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or Airtable
• Ability to simplify complex information into clear, user-friendly content
