The System Administrator will be a part of the Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure & Operations team that provides and employs best practices when implementing security requirements within an information system including software engineering methodologies, system/security engineering principles, secure design, secure architecture, and secure coding techniques to protect classified and proprietary information.
These opportunities include development and integration of a variety of system hardware and software applications supporting our engineering and manufacturing teams. Position Responsibilities:
- Performs computing delivery system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture
- Provides problem resolution and technical support for delivery systems
- Provides support for the design, validation and configuration management of computing delivery systems
- Administers user's system access and works to protect information to meet security requirements
- Monitors system performance to support capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery planning
- Mentors, leads and trains others
- Current CompTIA Security Certification
- 3 years of experience administering user system access and establishing safeguards to protect information to meet network security requirements
- Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering current Windows Server 2022 - 2025 and Desktop Operating Systems - Windows 11
- Experience deploying, securing and supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems (RHEL5/6/7/8)
- Experience working in a lab test, factory test, or similar test environment
- Experience working on classified networks
- Able to travel 10% of the time
- Experience troubleshooting Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
- Experience with active directory (AD) to include applying domain group policies
- Experience creating and maintaining multiple virtual servers based on VMware
- Experience developing PowerShell scripts to enable consistent, high-quality integration of hardware assets, automate deployment and configuration of operating systems
- Experience in Agile Methodologies
- Experience with System Backups, Network switch configuration,
- Experience with upgrades and patches for operating systems and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software
