We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our thriving food manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with a passion for developing and implementing innovative engineering solutions. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of mechanical engineering, including the use of AutoCAD, mechanical controls, hydraulics and pneumatics, manufacturing processes, CMMS, and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Mechanical Engineer, you will:
- Design, develop, and enhance mechanical systems and processes using AutoCAD.
- Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment used in the manufacturing process.
- Conduct research and implement new design and manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Utilize knowledge of mechanical controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs to ensure equipment is operating at optimal levels.
- Use CMMS to schedule, track, and document maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and deadlines.
- Ensure all mechanical engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization's established policies and objectives.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, with a focus on mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering design software.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Experience with manufacturing processes and CMMS.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing preventative maintenance programs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification is a plus.
