This position is responsible for enabling tire development groups to model tire geometry and run virtual simulations by developing, integrating, and sustaining Vulcan software tools and automated workflows. Responsibilities include partnering with product development groups to understand needs and translate them into clear requirements; implementing workflow components (e.g., scripting/automation, pre/post-processing, data handling, and tool integrations); validating workflows through testing and correlation checks; and delivering user-facing documentation, training, and support to drive adoption. The engineer is expected to review simulation outputs for reasonableness, troubleshoot issues, and incorporate learnings into continuous improvements to the Vulcan platform. The role includes cross-functional collaboration, occasional customer interactions, and presenting workflow capability and progress at release review meetings.

- Qualifications
- Required: FEA and python scripting experience
- Preferred: B.S. in Mechanical engineering or similar degree & minimum 2-3 years industry experience.
- Preferred: Software development experience and database experience. (GIT, Mongo Db, Javascript, AWS)
- Preferred: Experience using AI agents, like Claude, in support of code development and code review.
