Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will create engineering models for the propulsion subsystem and generate engineering drawings in support of manufacturing. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of 3D modeling software such as CREO or similar and creation of engineering drawings. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or in a related discipline.
Mechanical CAD modeling and drafting design experience using CREO or similar software.
Experience With Basic Drafting Techniques And Requirements.
Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
Desired Skills
Experience with aerospace manufacturing
Experience with tolerance stack analysis
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
Hardware Design experience
Experience with additive manufacturing
Understanding of mechanical and propulsion engineering principles and processes.
Ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent fields (systems engineering, electronics, stress/thermal analysis, configuration management, production, test, quality...)
Ability to work in a collaborative and highly integrated team environment.

Work Schedule Information

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $57,500 - $101,430. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
