Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester with strong SQL skills to ensure the quality and integrity of our applications and data. This role focuses on executing manual test cases, validating data accuracy, and collaborating closely with development and product teams to deliver high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases based on functional and technical requirements
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing
- Validate backend data using SQL queries to ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Analyze requirements and identify test scenarios, edge cases, and potential risks
- Log, track, and manage defects using tools like Jira or similar
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to resolve issues
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman (if applicable)
- Ensure test coverage and maintain clear test documentation
- 3 5 years of experience in manual software testing
- Strong experience writing and executing SQL queries (joins, subqueries, data validation)
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira
- Ability to read and understand technical and functional requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
