Role Mainframe/Hogan Tester

Location: Memphis, TN (5 Days Onsite)

We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Tester with strong experience in Hogan, ALS, CACS, and ACAPS banking applications. The role requires hands-on testing expertise in mainframe environments, a deep understanding of core banking processes, and the ability to collaborate with development and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse business requirements, functional specifications, and design test cases for Hogan, ALS (Automated Lending System), CACS (Customer Account Control System), and ACAPS (Automated Credit Application Processing System).
• Design, prepare, and execute test cases, test data, and test scripts for mainframe applications.
• Perform system, integration, regression, and UAT support testing.
• Validate batch jobs (JCL), CICS transactions, DB2/IMS databases, VSAM files, and reports.
• Coordinate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure requirement traceability.
• Identify, log, track, and retest defects using standard defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, qTest).
• Ensure compliance with QA standards, processes, and regulatory requirements in banking applications.
• Provide root cause analysis for defects and suggest improvements to enhance system stability and test coverage.
• Participate in release planning, test estimations, and status reporting.
  
  

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience in Mainframe Testing (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, File-Aid, Abend-Aid, CA7/Control-M).

• Domain knowledge in:
• Hogan Deposits and core banking modules.
• ALS Loan servicing and processing.
• CACS Collections and account management.
• ACAPS Credit card application processing.
• Experience with test planning, execution, and defect management.
• Ability to analyse data using SQL/DB2 queries for backend validation.
• Strong knowledge of STLC, SDLC, Agile methodologies, and QA best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to automation testing tools/frameworks for mainframe environments.
• Experience in mainframe modernization or migration testing projects.
• Knowledge of banking compliance and regulatory testing (AML, KYC, PCI-DSS).
