We are looking for a skilled Low Voltage Technician specializing in alarms to join our team in West Des Moines, Iowa. Responsibilities:
Install and configure fire alarm panels, security systems, and access control devices.
Perform service and maintenance tasks, ensuring systems are fully operational.
Terminate and re-pull copper cabling to establish new access points.
Travel within a 2-3 hour radius to various job sites, with occasional overnight stays.
Collaborate with nursing home facilities to recable, clean up nurse call systems, and enhance access controls.
Adapt to daily tasks that vary based on project requirements and client needs.
Conduct quality checks and troubleshoot issues to maintain high standards of system performance.
Maintain clear communication with clients to address concerns and provide updates.
Follow safety protocols and standards during installation and service activities.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in low-voltage technologies; candidates with 2 years of experience may be considered.
Hands-on experience with fire alarm systems, intercoms, and access control technologies.
Certifications in systems such as Lenel, Bosch, or similar platforms.
Strong customer service skills with attention to detail and a friendly demeanor.
Ability to work independently without requiring constant supervision.
Flexibility to travel within the specified radius and adapt to varying work schedules.
Proficiency in network cabling, cable installation, and fiber-optic technologies.
