Our client is an industry leader in the physical security integration space local to the Great Pittsburgh area. They are seeking an experienced Security Design Engineer to join their growing team on a W2 contract to hire.
Job Description
This individual will engineer and design commercial electronic security solutions. Some of these solutions may include alarm/intrusion, CCTV, access control, paging, intercom, audio/video, and fire systems. Engineers work collaboratively with technicians, project managers, sales, and other professionals to design and specify solutions to meet and exceed customer expectation.
Work collaboratively with sales and project management to engineer and develop system designs, proposals, and estimates.
Work collaboratively with the CAD department to ensure accurate and detailed drawings.
Work collaboratively with the technical services group to ensure technical functionality of the proposed solution.
Work with vendors and their technical support departments to design solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Achieve necessary certifications to design and engineer accurate solutions.
Prioritize engineering tasks to meet workload demands effectively and efficiently.
Required Skills
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with electronic security, fire alarm, intercom/paging, IT networking, and/or system automation.
- NICET certification (Level I, II, etc.)
- Ability to read/understand CAD/AutoCAD Drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills and software aptitude.
- Must be highly organized with demonstrated success managing multiple tasks.
- MUST be local to Pittsburgh, required onsite in office and local travel
- W-2 contract to hire with salary based upon previous relevant industry experience
